D.P.H., for appointment as Assistant Medical Officer of
Health in this Colony, I have the honour to inform you
that in February last I permitted Dr. Barnett to resign
this appointment in order to take up employment under the
Government of Egypt, and that subsequently I appointed
under agreement for 1 year, on a salary of £480 per annua
with a conveyance allowance of $22.50 per mensem, a local
candidate - Dr. W. A. B. Moore - to take Dr. Barnett's
place.

Moore is an L.R.C.P. and L.
R.C.S. (Ireland) and was well recommended. He has been
employed on Plague work since his appointment, and the
Principal Civil Medical Officer reports that he is very
pleased
